For project managers, one of the best ways to network is to join the leading organization in the industry -- the Project Management Institute (PMI). "PMI is set up for people looking at their career development and membership automatically gives you access to a number of peers," says Sean Whitaker, who chairs the South Island branch of the Project Management Institute of New Zealand (PMINZ).
